Terrible face paint recipe

Here is a terrible face paint recipe that you don’t want to try, seriously. 

My blog is very important to me and so I’m always sure to only share recipes, craft ideas and products that are nothing short of wonderful. For a bit of a laugh I thought I’d share one of my fails, because  I’m always trying to promote the importance of making mistakes and learning from them. 

The other day I threw together a bit of cleanser, cornflour and food colouring, mixed it together and set Possum (aged 3 years) and I up for an afternoon of fun face painting. At the very last second I hesitated and thought we should paint our arms first, just in case it stained. 

Well it’s really lucky we did because my arm turned various colours from the paint. Honestly, I hate to think what I would have looked like if we did actually use this recipe on my face. Eek!  So the lesson is – less is more when it comes to using food colouring in face paint. Of course we continued to use the paint on our arms, it didn’t bother us too much, but glad we didn’t use it as face paint.
