Every year since 1945, Australians have enjoyed celebrating Australian authors and their books. A nation wide book week is typically part of a preschool or primary school calendar and special events are organised to help inspire children to read and love books.
One common approach schools take to celebrate national book week is to have children dress us as their favourite author or book character. As a teacher in schools I have witness it to be a parents greatest pleasure but also a stressful nightmare trying to gather together a suitable book related costume.
Well I’m here to help provide you with a few simple book week costume ideas that your kids will enjoy to parade around in.
