Photos of Play challenge for 2016 – #52weeksofplay

I don’t know about you, but I take a lot (and I mean, a LOT) of photos of my kids and their everyday play. I know that I’m also not alone. So with this in mind I have decided to start an exciting weekly photo challenge in 2016. I’ll also be using the hashtag – #52weeksofplay‘ over on Instagram. I hope to build a gorgeous community of happy snappers who will also enjoy sharing an insight into their world with children who love play. I’m crazy excited about this and I really hope you join me! 

 

Here are the details of the #52weeksofplay challenge

It’s so simple, every week we will use a word that inspires the photographs we take of our children playing, see the above year at a glance. Throughout that week we will use our own creative interpretation of that word and how it relates to our everyday life with kids. As you can see from above, our first word is ‘happy’ so you can share as many photos of your children ‘happy’ as you like for the first week of January. 

How can you play along? 

Throughout the week you can upload and share your picture(s) over on Instagram and/or Facebook. Simply tag your photographs #52weeksofplay so that myself and others who are playing along can see your photos too! 

Adding the Instagram tag @kate_laughingkidslearn will help me see and feature your pictures on my social media channels.

What happens if I forget and miss a week … or 4? 

Absolutely no problem. You can start up again and continue on whenever you like. Of course you can also play catch up if life allows it. 
 
Now let me be clear, I’m not a professional photographer and you don’t have to be either. I have no advice for how to create that perfect shot, I’ll just use the camera on my phone, point, click and upload with the hashtag. Easy!
