We seem to have lots of bubble wands around the house but you can pick up a huge tub of various bubble wands at Big W for about AU$7. For the paint we used acrylic paint but you can use whatever you have handy.
Teachable moments –
How many bubble wands can you count?
Can you order them from smallest to largest? Largest to smallest?
Can you group them according to colour?
What type of bubbles would you predict to come out of each wand? Why?
Great idea, there are some really pretty shaped bubble wands that would work nicely. The patterns you made are lovely.
Those bubble wands sure do collect into a pile, don’t they? I love this idea for using them, clever lady. Pinning π
I think I’m going to have to go out and buy some bubble wands! My 20 month old son has a very short attention span when it comes to painting, it lasts all of about 1 minute so maybe this will extend it a little!
What a great idea. I tire of bubble blowing very quickly, something about how the detergent feels. This would be something I could handle much better and miss 3 would still get to play with the wands.
Never thought of that before!
Those wands make really beautiful stamps. We don’t have any bubble wands, I’m a bit like Jay π The shapes are really lovely though π
Such a fun idea Kate…have a bucket full of wands here…now i know what we are doing tomorrow!!
I’ll have to head out and buy some bubble wands because these creations are fab- the process is wonderful too.
Just gorgeous – love that shot in your garden in particular! I think Miss K would enjoy some bubble wand printing too. Thanks for the fun idea Kate. xo P
They look great! I think I’ll go buy some bubble wands too π
I love painting without brushes π
She is such a sweet heart! π What a great idea!
Here’s a new twist on painting I haven’t seen before — I know kids will love it! Thanks for sharing it at the After School Linky!
What a simple and fun activity! My daughter will love it!
What a fab idea! We have a tonne of bubble wands here. I never thought to use thme like this. (And look at your beautiful magnolia tree!)
They look fabulous for making patterns! What a fun idea and I love that pic of possum blowing the wand at the end. So cute!
ps. Just letting you know this post is being featured this coming week on Tuesday Tots on Learn with Play at home π
