Easter is fast approaching and so I thought I’d share a great learning activity that your kids will enjoy. Here are simple easter puzzles for kids. They are fun and educational.
To make Easter puzzles you will need
- Pre-cut easter foam shapes
- Scissors
If you’re unable to purchase them you can simply cut an egg shape from foam yourself, otherwise you might just use paper! Foam is just more durable.
Simply begin cutting off and through the foam egg shape. The more pieces you cut the greater the difficulty.
Taking the learning experience further
Children will have fun both making these and putting them back together. You might also like to challenge them further by timing how long they take to complete a puzzle. Does their results improve over time? This will help improve their understanding of time and problem solving skills.
What a great idea for a busy bag!
This type of activity can easily be placed in a zip lock bag and played over and over again. It’s light and can be thrown into a bag for times of need and entertainment. Here are a few of the puzzles that I made. You can see that some I chose to use straight cuts and others more curvy. Talking to children about the shape of each piece will help develop language skills.
This looks like a challenge that’s too good to refuse!!!! 😉

How fun are these? I just love puzzles and what they can do for your children! They are a great way to get children thinking, and help them grow to be smart and educated individuals. We recently bought some puzzles for our children from http://www.somanypuzzles.com/ and it was the best decision we have ever made for them!
