Now I have to be honest, I’m never very good at making or keeping new year resolutions.
I’m not too sure what it is that finds me dropping the ball on my new year resolutions but this year I’ve decided to make a much more concerted effort and feel happy with whatever I achieve by the end of the year. I hope you’ll be able to follow my journey.
You may remember this time last year I spoke about goal setting with our children. I’m still a strong believer in having realistic expectations for our children and I’ll no doubt use some of the ideas I’d listed back in January last year.
For Possum, my main goal for her is to be happy and healthy. Of course there can be many education based goals I could add to the list but for the moment I’ll share my own personal goals for myself.

I’d like to achieve in 2014 –
- Learn more about other cultures and events from all over the world
- Continue to perform random acts of kindness throughout the year
- Drink more water (because I never do)
- Plan ahead and fine tune my organisation
- Find more awesome but simple food recipes
Keep up to date with the houseworkBlog more
and
- Laugh, play and simply try and be the best person/parent I can
I’m thinking this could be an achievable list for me this year. Now what about you?
What are your new year resolutions for 2014?

Do more housework- ha ha! That is on my resolution list every year…..and I never succeed. I love that you are acknowledging that it won’t really get done from the outset.
