Ford recently gave me the opportunity to go exploring with the family in their 2016 Ford Kuga and share my thoughts with you on how it drives. Now let me be honest, my husband is a mechanic by trade and when it comes to cars, his standards are high. Our feedback about the Ford Kuga is literally from the point of view of us as parents, with one of us being a car expert.
So in short, we were actually very impressed with the car and that there is a lot to love about the Ford Explore Kuga. If you’re looking for a family car that is great value and something with all the latest safety and comfort features then it’s one to consider.
As a family we enjoyed a lovely weekend away, which gave us the time to really test out all the features and find out what bells and whistles it has. Here are some of the features that we thought were amazing and worth sharing –
Safety
- All round air bags to keep the whole family safe
- Rear view camera
- Adaptive Cruise Control. Car will adjust its speed to accomodate traffic!
- Hill Launch Assist. Stops the car rolling backwards on a hill.
Technology
- Hands-free power tailgate. Simply wave your foot under the boot and it opens!
- Active Park Assist. Parks your car for you!
- Voice Command technology
- Sound clarity
Features and extras
- Push button start/stop
- EcoBoost
- Value for money! Contact your nearest Ford dealer for details.
Obviously having a safe and reliable family car is important. We loved playing games and being together as a family while road testing the Explore Ford Kuga 2016. It’s a great car that we all really enjoyed traveling in and with it’s great safety features, we’d suggest you consider it for your next car.
What is your ideal car trip with kids?
Kylie says
I wish I had known about these games before we took an 8 hour long car trip with Miss 5 who had just learnt how to whistle…
The car looks great!
Kate says
Ba hahaha oh you certainly needed these games Kylie. The Ford Kuga is an awesome car. ๐
Peta @Great Googa Moogas says
We love playing games in the car on road trips, but the kids are getting a little bored with them, so this is awesome. We’ll definitely be giving these a try on our next trip.
Kate says
Thanks so much Peta. They are simple and great classics. For some reason I often forget those. LOL
Glad I could help you out.
Kate says
Looks like a fantastic car. Thanks for the games ideas, until so far our go-to car game has been the quiet game, lol. Whoever talks is out, the person who stays quiet for the longest wins! The kids actually love it but it’s a huge cop out on our part ๐
Kate says
Hahaha that’s hilarious Kate. I’ll seriously have to try that one.
Louise says
Love these games! Anything to make a family trip more enjoyable! We also love to see who can tear a ‘Mintie’ wrapper into the longest strip…the chewy mintie usually helps yo keep them ‘silent’ too lol. xx
Kate says
Ooooohhhhhhh good one. I used to love that game but was never any good at it. I’ll keep that one in mind. ๐
Kelly says
Great games, I’ll have to keep your list handy ?
Kate says
Thanks Kelly. Hard to go past a few of the old classic games.

Road trips can be so much fun and your tips are perfect for my next one with the kids. I love the printable, my girls will enjoy it. They also love looking for punch buggies!

Oh I’ll have to look up that type of buggie Penny. Thank you!
Kate says
