Life of being a teacher can be so fun, especially when it comes to crazy dress up days. It gives the children such a thrill to see their teacher step outside of their comfort zone and embrace a dress up theme. To make life easier, I’ve put together over 27+ awesome teacher group costume ideas that teachers of all ages will love and get into.
One thing I actually really loved about being a teacher was that I could act much like a kid and dress up on special dress up days. Yep, I was one of those teachers that would totally go OTT (over the top) and inspire other teachers to get involved too. Dress up days were my thing and something I’d secretly really look forward to. Haha!
Why should teachers dress up?
Oh my gosh, why not? As teachers we want to really encourage children to have a sense of fun, feel comfortable in being a little silly and be inspired by whatever purpose is behind the dress up day. Book Week, which is coming up in Australia, is a great example of how dressing up as a favourite book character can inspire children to embrace a love of reading and ignite an interest in a particular book or author.
