Children will love making simple Easter bunny craft using paper plates. Using very few materials, they can be made into masks and used in imaginary play or displayed in a way that will create some Easter cheer.
How adorable is this Easter bunny paper plate craft! It’s so easy for children to make and can be decorated in whatever way they desire. There really are no special rules to making this.
Recommended age: 3 – 5 years +
(Active supervision is always required on all my activities)
- Paper plate x 2
- Sticky tape or school glue
- Decorative paints, pens etc
- Paper
- Pom pom
- Pipe cleaner
- Scissors
Simply begin by cutting one of the paper plates in half. These two halves will become the ears.
Before attaching the paper plate ears to the face, you might like your child to decorate both plates however they like. We went outside and used paint, but your child can use whatever materials they have available to them.
Once the paper plates are dry then your child can go about attaching the two paper plate halves to the back of the other paper plate, see above. Then the pipe cleaner whiskers, pom pom nose and cut out paper eyes can be added with glue. It really is that easy and oh so adorable.
My Possum (aged 3 years) loved playing with the bunny craft I’d made her. She chose to use it as a mask and went on a pretend Easter egg hunt. Lots of fun and it will no doubt make another appearance on Easter morning.
Happy Easter everyone! x
